CPD Courses & International Conference for 2025
CPD courses offer a range of opportunities for teachers to enhance their skills, stay current with educational trends, and improve their effectiveness in the classroom. These courses also expand the range of professional development opportunities available for teachers, ensuring they have access to the latest instructional strategies and tools.
CPD courses and International Conference that are offered by CTL for the 2025 calendar year are as follows
AI for School Teachers
Aim: To equip educators with a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in the classroom. This program will empower teachers to integrate AI concepts into their teaching strategies, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes.Problem-Based Learning (PBL)
Aim: To equip teachers with the skills to design and implement problem-based learning experiences.Effective Classroom Management
Aim: To equip teachers with strategies to manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.Certification & CPD Points
❖ A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded by CTL upon completion of each CPD course.
❖ A Certificate of Participation will be awarded for attendance to the International Conference.
❖ Each CPD Course is worth 3 CPD points. The CPD points will be indicated in the Certificate of Attendance (total 9 CPD points)

Towards Education Excellence Beyond 2025: Innovative Pedagogies for the 21st Century Classroom. This 2-Half Day Conference is comprised of “Exploring Innovative Pedagogical Trends” (Day 1) and “ Implementing Innovative Pedagogies” (Day 2)
Day 1: Innovative Teaching Strategies
1st Hour: Opening & Keynote Session
- Welcome Address: Introduction to the theme of the workshop.
- Keynote: “Transforming Education Through Innovation” – An overview of emerging trends and their impact on teaching.
2nd Hour: Understanding Active Learning Strategies
- Session: “Active Learning: The Heart of Innovation” – Exploring the principles and importance of active learning.
- Workshop: Designing an active learning activity for your classroom.
3rd Hour: Project-Based and Inquiry-Based Learning
- Session: “Empowering Students Through Project-Based Learning (PBL)” – Discussing the benefits and real-world examples of PBL.
- Case Study Discussion: Success stories of PBL in primary and secondary schools.
4th Hour: Gamification and Game-Based Learning
- Interactive Session: “Gamify Your Classroom: Engaging Students with Game Elements” – Techniques for incorporating game-based learning.
- Hands-On Activity: Designing a simple educational game for your subject.
Day 2: Implementing Innovative Pedagogies
1st Hour: Integrating Technology in Teaching
- Session: “EdTech Tools for the 21st Century Educator” – Overview of accessible educational tools.
- Demonstration: How to use free digital tools (e.g., Kahoot, Padlet, Canva) for enhancing teaching and learning.
2nd Hour: Flipped Classroom and Hybrid Learning Models
- Session: “Flipped Classrooms: A Guide to Engaging Students Beyond the Classroom” – Introduction to flipped learning concepts.
- Discussion: Challenges and strategies for implementing flipped and hybrid learning models.
3rd Hour: Building a Collaborative Learning Environment
- Workshop: “Collaboration in Action” – How to facilitate teamwork and peer learning in your classroom.
- Activity: Designing group projects that foster collaboration.
4th Hour: Action Plan and Closing
- Interactive Session: “Creating Your Innovation Roadmap” – Developing an action plan to apply workshop learnings in your teaching practice.
- Panel Discussion: Q&A with experts on overcoming barriers to pedagogical innovation.
- Closing Remarks: Participant feedback session and final thoughts.
MyBIG Scholarship & Membership Fees
In conjunction with Binary University’s 40th Anniversary, The MyBinary International Grant (MyBIG) was extended to Teachers. MyBIG-Teachers Fund of USD 10 Million was approved by the Senate to ease the financial burden of teachers in meeting the full cost of attending CPD courses.
❖ The full fees for CPD courses are USD125 per course whereas the full participation fees for the Virtual International Conference is USD125 which amounts to USD500.
❖ As a member of CTL, all teachers are exempted from paying USD500 (3xUSD125 for CPD courses plus USD125 for the International Conference) under the MyBIG for Teachers.
❖ Teachers will only pay USD120 per year to become a member of CTL. This membership entitles teachers to attend 3 CPD courses and an International Conference every year.
❖ Teachers coming through their Association or Unions will enjoy a further discount. Please check with your Association/Union if an MOU exist with Binary University.
Delivery Mode & Start Date
❖ All courses will be delivered LIVE (according to your time zone) using the Real time Class (RTC) mode. The duration of each CPD session will be 3 hours and this will be delivered on 2 Saturdays (2.30 – 5.30pm Malaysian time).
❖ The 3 CPD courses will be delivered on the 8th & 22nd March 2025, 10th & 24th May 2025 and 12th & 26th July 2025
❖ The International Conference will be held on the 17th & 18th September 2025 93hours per day)
❖ In the event, you are unable to attend any of the LIVE classes or International Conference, you can still access the RECORDED VERSION stored in our web portal.
