Introduction & Aim

The Centre for AI & Data Analytics (CAIDA) at Binary University was established in May 2023 as a Research Centre of Excellence (COE) to advance research, innovation and real-world applications in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Analytics. Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics are transforming every sector of the global economy.

Organisations are increasingly using AI-driven technologies to improve decision-making, automate processes, enhance productivity and create innovative products and services. Universities therefore have a critical role to play in developing knowledge, talent and solutions that can harness the full potential of these technologies.

CAIDA aims to become a global hub for research, training, consulting and commercialisation in AI and data analytics. The centre brings together researchers, industry experts, government agencies and technology partners to develop practical AI-driven solutions that address real industry challenges. Through interdisciplinary research, industry collaboration and executive training programs, CAIDA will contribute to:

  • advancing cutting-edge AI research
  • developing industry-ready AI talent
  • helping organisations adopt AI-driven transformation
  • commercialising innovative AI solutions that create economic and societal impact.

To maximise impact, CAIDA will focus its research and industry engagement onfour high-impact sectors where AI and data analytics are expected to drive the most transformative change.
