In May 2023 Binary University established the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics. (CAIDA).The Mission of CAIDA is to advance the frontiers of AI and data analytics through interdisciplinary research, collaboration, and education while its objectives are to conduct high-impact research in AI and data analytics, to foster interdisciplinary research collaborations to address complex challenges in AI and data analytics, to cultivate a new generation of AI and data analytics experts by offering comprehensive educational programs, to forge partnerships with industry to bridge the gap between academia and practical applications and to conduct joint projects, and facilitate technology transfer, create a seamless flow of knowledge and foster innovation in AI and data analytics.

Vision

The vision of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (CAIDA) is to become a global leader in cutting-edge research, innovation, and education in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) And Data Analytics. CAIDA envisions advance the frontiers of AI and Data Analytics by leveraging the power of AI and data analytics to address complex challenges, drive technological advancements in research, education, and innovation while promoting ethical and responsible AI practices for the benefit of society.

Mission

The Mission of CAIDA is to foster a collaborative,  inclusive and vibrant environment that brings together faculty, students, industry partners, and stakeholders from diverse disciplines to conduct cutting-edge interdisciplinary research. CAIDA also aspires to deliver high-quality education and training programs, promote industry engagement and technology transfer, cultivate interdisciplinary collaboration, and contribute to societal impact and global leadership in the field of AI and Data Analytics. CAIDA aims to develop AI technologies and data analytics methodologies that address real-world problems and contribute to sustainable development by pushing boundaries of knowledge and transforming theoretical advancements into practical solutions.

Objectives

  • To promote Research Excellence by conducting high-impact cutting-edge research in AI and data analytics, focusing on both fundamental advancements and applied solutions.
  • To foster interdisciplinary research collaborations among faculty members, students, and external stakeholders like industry partners, government agencies, and other academic institutions to facilitate knowledge exchange and drive innovation and address complex challenges in AI and data analytics,
  • To advance the center as a recognized leader in AI research, education, and innovation, attracting top talent, forging international collaborations, and contributing to the global AI ecosystem
  • To cultivate a new generation of AI and data analytics experts by offering comprehensive educational programs that equip students with the technical skills, knowledge and problem-solving abilities needed to excel in AI-related careers and ethical principles needed to become responsible AI practitioners and leaders in the field and contribute to the advancement of the field.
